How Does a Snow Melting System Work?
A snow melting system uses a sensor to detect when there is snow or ice on the driveway, walkway and pathways. When the Tekmar control/sensor detects snow or moisture on the surface slabs, it will trigger the boiler and mixing valve. The hydronic system moves controlled amounts of hot water and propylene glycol through the closed loop tubing system.
